About Shingwedzi
Shingwedzi sits on the Shingwedzi River in far north Kruger and is famed for massive elephant breeding herds — sometimes 50 to 60 animals strong. The 21-km Kanniedood Dam loop is one of the finest elephant-viewing drives in Africa. The tropical location brings bird species with affinities to central Africa that are rarely seen further south, including yellow-billed oxpecker.
