About Shimuwini
Shimuwini ("place of the baobab") Bushveld Camp sits on the edge of Shimuwini Dam on the Letaba River in northern Kruger, sheltered by enormous baobab trees. Fifteen cottages line the dam, and a dedicated bird hide over the water makes this a top birding destination — African fish eagle, spoonbill, and multiple kingfisher species are daily sightings. Buffalo, elephant, lion, and cheetah all frequent the surrounding bush.
