About Punda Maria

Punda Maria is Kruger's northernmost main camp, set among mopane woodland and baobab-dotted landscapes at the foot of Dimbo Kop. It's celebrated above all for exceptional tropical birding, with many species found here that are absent from the rest of the park. The nearby Thulamela Iron Age archaeological site is one of the most significant pre-colonial sites in South Africa.
