Vaal River — Carp & Yellowfish — The upper and middle Vaal has excellent carp and smallmouth yellowfish. Bank fishing and float boats.
Hartebeespoort Dam — Busy, but still some carp fishing. Water quality has improved in recent years.
Pilanesberg — Game Hunting — Limited licensed hunting in Pilanesberg concessions. Contact the reserve directly.
Private Game Farms — Madikwe Area — Several hunting concessions near Madikwe. Plains game: kudu, impala, blesbok, gemsbok.
Groot Marico River — Small but beautiful river. Marico barb and other endemic fish. Catch and release only in places.
